For the past two years HMC has been working in partnership with Lancashire Council of Mosques to certify Halal school meals. Assistant Principal Moulana Munir said in a statement: “Despite being a Muslim school it was of paramount importance for us to be certified by an independent non-profit making organisation like HMC. The fraudulent nature of the market means doubtful products are entering into every sector of the Halal market and we realised the education sector is no different. We would strongly advise all schools to follow suit.”
