Meat & Poultry Price Increase Clarification Due to Coronavirus

  Back to News

HMC over the past few days has received a number of calls enquiring about the prices that are being charged for meat and poultry at butcheries.

We would like to clarify that HMC does not buy or sell meat and therefore has no control over the prices of products being sold in the market.  HMC solely takes the responsibility to certify the product in question ensuring that the products meet with the HMC standard.

HMC has not increased any of the cost for its certification to any of its clients and therefore the cost for HMC certification remains unchanged.

If you feel the price hike is unfair and wish to report it, you may do so using the link below:

We urge the community to remain calm at this uncertain time and not to stockpile as this has potentially contributed to the price increase unfortunately.  We ask the community to supplicate for the entire community for all our safety and well-being.
