Halal Monitoring Committee – Palestine Expo 2017

Halal Monitoring Committee (HMC) would like to thank everyone who attended our exhibition stand at the Palestine Expo on the 8th and 9th of July.

The Palestine Expo at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in Westminster saw over 15,000 attendees who contributed towards the success of the event. We are absolutely thrilled with the feedback we have received from guests who are valuable supporters of HMC.

During the Expo, the primary goal for HMC was to educate visitors on matters of Halal and engage with the members of the public asking for their views on what Halal means to them. We were also given the chance to film a promo on the day which we’ll be releasing very soon (be sure to like us on Facebook by searching “halal monitoring committee” – you may be featured!).

On the day, we ran several competitions which included a prize giveaway of two computer tablets and hosted a live Arabic calligraphy session. With over 200 balloons handed out, 100 sweeties eaten and a countless number of smiles exchanged, visitors helped to make this event a great success and their enthusiasm and positive spirit helped make our time together both productive and entertaining.

We’d also like to commend and congratulate Friends of Al-Aqsa for putting on a memorable show. From the staff to the volunteers, each person played a pivotal part in making Palestine Expo a hugely successful event.

We look forward to seeing all those attended at the Palestine Expo again next year.
