We are pleased to announce that HMC (UK) has been approved by the Gulf Accreditation Centre (GAC) which will now allow HMC certified products to be sold in the Middle East. HMC is currently the only approved certifier in the UK for the export of fresh and frozen Halal meat. Along with the current ISO9001 – 2015 accreditation, HMC is also accredited against the GSO2055-2, ISO17065 and ISO17021 standards. The achievement is one we are particularly proud of as it demonstrates our commitment to providing the highest quality standards and further establishes HMC (UK) as a leader in Halal certification. The GAC approval is also a significant milestone in our continual efforts to improve and reflects our on-going investment in standards, development and process.
The GSO2055-2 is the Halal standard that the UAE and GCC Countries have signed up to which is also governed by ISO principles. This family of standards are designed to help organisations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and employees. HMC’s certification of compliance recognises that our policies, practices and procedures ensure consistent quality in the services that we deliver every day to our clients.
Before presenting ourselves to the certification agency, hours of work and preparation were undertaken, internal policies and processes aligned with GSO/ISO standards, employees trained and internal audits completed.
Nadeem Adam of HMC said, “This is a fantastic achievement for our organisation and underpins our commitment to ensure that we not only run the HMC operation under the guidance of qualified Islamic scholars, but also to the highest standard and efficiencies that are now independently audited, giving added confidence to our Clients and Supporters. We look forward in reviewing this new approval with our existing and new clients so that we can take the HMC Certified products into the Middle East.”
